LaLiga: My contract with Barcelona ends 2027 – Hansi Flick speaks on Messi’s return

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that his contract with the club will run until 2027. He explained that he is fully focused on building a strong long-term project with the team. Flick said he is committed to restoring Barcelona’s competitive spirit and bringing stability back to the squad, especially with many young players developing quickly.

Speaking about the growing rumours surrounding Lionel Messi’s possible return, Flick said the decision is not in his hands. He added that Messi remains a legend of the club, and the fans will forever adore him, but any move would depend on many factors. Flick stressed that Barcelona is currently concentrating on its new direction, which involves youth development and rebuilding the team’s identity.

Flick also noted that Barcelona is working hard to improve performances in LaLiga and Europe. According to him, the club needs time and patience to fully adjust to the new system he is putting in place. He said that even though Messi’s name will always be connected to the club, Barcelona must look ahead and shape its future based on the players available now.

The coach encouraged supporters to stay positive as the team continues to grow under his leadership. He said his main goal is to return Barcelona to its highest level by 2027, the same year his contract ends. Flick expressed confidence that the club is moving in the right direction despite challenges.
