PDP crisis: Even if it takes our lives, we’ve take over Wadata Plaza – Taminu Turaki declares

Amid the deepening crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Minister Taminu Turaki has vowed that his faction will not back down from occupying the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza. Turaki stated that the group is committed to reclaiming control of the party structure, even if the struggle comes with personal risks.

He accused rival factions of undermining the PDP’s constitution and attempting to hijack its leadership through illegal actions. According to him, loyal members are ready to defend the party’s integrity and restore order, stressing that their presence at Wadata Plaza signals a resolve to resist any unlawful takeover.

Turaki also urged party stakeholders to prioritize unity and legality to prevent further damage to the PDP’s national stability. He warned that internal betrayal and power tussles could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections if not urgently addressed.

The declaration has added more tension to the already heated conflict between Turaki’s camp and the faction aligned with Nyesom Wike, raising concerns about possible physical confrontations and prolonged instability within the opposition party.
