The Director of Mobilisation for the Obidient Movement has resigned from his position, citing neglect and lack of support from Peter Obi. In a public statement, the official expressed disappointment over what he described as Obi’s failure to adequately engage party officials and address key organisational concerns.
The former director alleged that his efforts to mobilise supporters and strengthen the movement were often ignored or undermined, prompting him to step down. He also called on party leadership to pay attention to grassroots activities and ensure proper communication with members.
Supporters of the movement have reacted with mixed feelings, with some expressing shock at the resignation while others urge the leadership to address the issues raised to prevent further discontent. The Obidient Movement has yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
The resignation highlights ongoing internal tensions within the movement and raises questions about party cohesion ahead of upcoming political activities.
