‘There’s selective injustice against Nnamdi Kanu, Biafra agitators’ – Idam

Prominent Biafra activist, Idam, has alleged that there is selective injustice against Nnamdi Kanu and other pro-Biafra agitators in Nigeria. Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Idam claimed that the Nigerian government treats these activists differently compared to others, fueling perceptions of bias and unfair treatment.

According to Idam, “There is a clear pattern of selective prosecution against Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra agitators, while others with similar infractions appear to go unpunished. This is unacceptable and undermines the principles of justice and equality before the law.”

He further urged the government to uphold justice impartially, stressing that failure to do so could deepen tensions in the Southeast region. “If justice is not applied equally, it risks creating further unrest and resentment among those seeking self-determination and recognition of their rights,” Idam added.

The activist’s comments come amid ongoing legal and political battles surrounding the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the broader separatist movement.

Idam’s statement highlights continuing concerns over selective enforcement of laws in Nigeria and the growing calls for fair treatment of all citizens, regardless of political or ethnic affiliations.
