FAAN issues eviction notice to tanker drivers, bus parks, others on Lagos Airport road

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has issued eviction notices to tanker drivers, commercial bus operators, and other occupants operating illegally along the Lagos Airport road.

According to FAAN, the activities of these groups have caused serious traffic congestion, security concerns, and environmental issues around the airport corridor. The authority stressed that the Lagos airport environment must be kept safe, organized, and free from unauthorized business activities.

FAAN stated that the eviction order is part of its efforts to restore order and improve movement around the airport. The agency noted that only licensed operators and businesses will be allowed to remain within the airport axis.

The affected drivers and operators have been given a deadline to relocate their vehicles and equipment. FAAN also warned that enforcement teams will move into action once the grace period expires, urging all affected individuals to comply to avoid penalties and removal.

This move follows renewed efforts to improve infrastructure and security around Nigeria’s busiest airport.
