In a new development surrounding actress Regina Daniels and her ongoing dispute with husband Senator Ned Nwoko, her brother Sammy West has reportedly been sent to Keffi prison. According to reports, a Dutse Magistrate ordered his remand, and he was taken into custody without being granted access to a lawyer at the time of the ruling.
The information was made public by Regina’s older brother, who took to Instagram to express concern and frustration. He questioned why Sammy was detained without proper legal representation and accused powerful influences of affecting the legal process. He also alleged that the magistrate who handled the remand order suddenly became unreachable after Sammy’s bail was supposedly processed.
In a video circulating online, Sammy could be heard claiming he was denied the chance to contact his legal team or speak to his family since his arrest on Monday. Reports suggest he was picked up in Lagos and flown to Abuja in a private jet allegedly linked to Senator Nwoko, raising questions about the motive behind the arrest.
Reacting to the situation, Regina Daniels took to social media to confirm her brother’s detention. She revealed that her brother and sister were allegedly arrested to pressure her into entering rehabilitation — a move she says she has refused after accusing her husband of domestic abuse. Senator Nwoko, however, has accused Regina of substance abuse and claimed she has been avoiding rehabilitation despite needing it.
This incident marks another serious turn in the highly publicized breakdown of the couple’s relationship. Supporters and observers are now calling for transparency in the legal process and demanding clarity on the charges against Sammy West.
