Echegini returns from injury, set to face Le Havre

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Jennifer Echegini has recovered from a hamstring injury and is expected to return to action today when PSG face Le Havre in an Arkema Premier League match. The Nigerian star picked up the injury late in a league game against Strasbourg before the international break, which ruled her out of national team duty.

Because of the injury, Echegini missed Nigeria’s 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Benin Republic. Her absence was felt, but the 24-year-old has now fully rejoined her teammates in training and looks ready to get back on the pitch.

Echegini participated in full training on Friday, showing she is fit and ready to play again. Her return is a boost for PSG as they continue their push in the French women’s league. The club confirmed she is part of the squad for today’s encounter.

The talented midfielder has been one of PSG’s key summer signings, bringing creativity and strength to the team’s midfield. Fans will be eager to see her back in action after her brief spell on the sidelines.

Another Nigerian international, Rasheedat Ajibade, has also been listed in PSG’s match squad. Both players will be looking to make an impact and help the club secure victory against Le Havre.
