African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Chioma Ifemeludike, says her decision to contest in the November 8 election is not a sudden move into politics. Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Ifemeludike explained that she has always been involved in governance and advocacy.
According to her, her journey into leadership began as a student unionist, where she fought for students who had no voice. She added that studying political science also strengthened her passion for public service and leadership. Ifemeludike said she has always taken up responsibilities on behalf of others, which naturally shaped her political path.
The AAC candidate stressed that her involvement in politics is not new. Instead, she believes it is the right time to take up a bigger role and lead the state. She also expressed confidence in the AAC as an alternative party positioned to bring genuine change to Anambra.
Ifemeludike noted that running for governor is a continuation of her long commitment to speaking up for the people, adding that she is ready to become the number one servant of the state if elected. She stated that her mission is to stand for those who are ignored and ensure better governance for all residents.
