I’ve quit smoking – Zlatan Ibile reveals

Nigerian music star Temidayo Omoniyi, widely known as Zlatan Ibile, has revealed that he stopped smoking years ago. The rapper shared the update while interacting with fans during a recent Q&A session on Snapchat. This came after a fan asked if he still smokes, a question Zlatan said people ask him all the time.

Responding to the question, Zlatan confirmed he ended the habit four years ago and has never looked back. He added that he holds no negative judgment against people who still smoke. According to him, even though he made a personal decision to stop, he respects others’ choices and lifestyles.

Zlatan’s revelation adds him to the growing list of Nigerian entertainers who have quit smoking or spoken publicly about trying to stop. In recent years, artists like Don Jazzy, Peruzzi, Tekno, and Kizz Daniel have shared similar testimonies. Many fans see this trend as a positive example for young people who look up to these musicians.

Davido also once promised in 2018 that he would quit smoking after being motivated by Don Jazzy’s success story. While many fans continue to watch celebrities take steps toward healthier living, Zlatan’s story shows that change is possible with determination.

Celebrities openly embracing a healthier lifestyle could help reduce smoking among youths who idolize them. Zlatan’s announcement is another reminder that a personal decision to choose wellness and discipline can inspire many across the entertainment industry and beyond.
