Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has revealed that the joy and support of the people stem from his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its promises of service and development.
Speaking in an interview on Arise Television on Monday, which was monitored by DAILY POST, Oyebanji said his leadership style is deliberate and focused on genuine service rather than showmanship. He noted that his “low-profile” approach reflects his understanding of leadership as a social contract between the government and the people.
“The low profile is deliberate because the contract I signed with the Ekiti people is to serve them, and in the last three years, we have done that conscientiously,” the governor said.
Oyebanji emphasized that his administration’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens has earned him widespread support across political divides. He noted that former leaders and opposition members have endorsed his work because of the visible progress across sectors such as infrastructure, education, and welfare.
“My strong belief is that once you sign a contract with the people, you must honour it. That is exactly what we have done in Ekiti State,” he stated, assuring that his government would continue to prioritize accountability and service delivery.
