The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s fiscal reforms, describing them as a “revolution” that is steadily rebuilding Nigeria “brick by brick.” The party praised the administration’s financial discipline and the transformation taking place within the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) under the Renewed Hope agenda.

In a statement issued by Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, the party said Nigeria’s resilience amid global economic challenges is not accidental but the result of deliberate financial engineering and strong policy direction. “At a time when nations are being tested by global economic disruptions, Nigeria stands resilient not by chance but through strategic fiscal management and disciplined revenue administration,” Oladejo stated.

He emphasized that the transformation of the FIRS serves as a “textbook example” of how institutional reforms, when built on competence and integrity, can become key drivers of national development. According to him, the success of Tinubu’s fiscal agenda lies in its focus on long-term sustainability, transparency, and efficient tax collection.

Oladejo further explained that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda recognizes revenue stability as the foundation of true national independence. By enforcing fiscal discipline and reforming the FIRS, he said the government is breaking Nigeria’s dependence on borrowing. “Each kobo collected through tax reforms is being reinvested into the people – in roads, schools, healthcare, security, and social investment programmes,” he noted.

He concluded that Tinubu’s economic reforms are paving the way for a self-reliant nation where wealth is generated internally and used to uplift citizens. “This is what true nation-building looks like — a Nigeria that funds its own future and empowers its people through strategic fiscal transformation,” Oladejo affirmed.
