Touring affected my love life – Ruger

Popular Nigerian singer Ruger has revealed that his busy touring schedule has negatively affected his love life and family relationships. The “Asiwaju” crooner, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, shared the personal confession via his official X handle on Sunday.

Ruger explained that since he began touring globally, maintaining a stable relationship has become almost impossible. He added that things got even worse after he rebranded and switched to a low haircut, which made him more attractive to women. “Being on the road has really affected my love life. It became worse after I went back to my black hair and low cut because these girls have been over rushing me,” he said. “But deep down, I really wanna settle down soon.”

The Afrobeat star also mentioned that his career success and constant movement have made it difficult to spend time with his loved ones. “I hardly even see my family because trust me, I’m the most booked artist in this country. People want to see me on stage around the world. They want that Ruger sauce every month,” he added.

Despite the challenges, Ruger expressed his deep desire to find balance between his booming career and his personal life. His honesty about fame’s pressure on relationships has sparked conversations among fans about how demanding the entertainment industry can be.

Ruger continues to make waves internationally with his performances, but he has made it clear that he hopes to find love and stability amid his busy lifestyle.
