There Is No Religious Persecution In Nigeria – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians and the international community that there is no religious persecution in the country. He stated that Nigeria remains a diverse nation where people of different faiths coexist peacefully. Tinubu emphasized that his administration is committed to ensuring freedom of worship and the protection of every citizen’s rights, regardless of religion.

The President explained that while Nigeria has faced challenges of insecurity, banditry, and terrorism, these issues are not religiously motivated. He stressed that extremists who cause violence do not represent any faith, and his government is working tirelessly to promote unity and peace across communities.

Tinubu further urged religious leaders to preach tolerance and understanding, noting that Nigeria’s strength lies in its cultural and religious diversity. He assured Nigerians that his government will continue to protect the rights of all groups to practice their beliefs freely without fear or discrimination.
