Nigeria @ 65: APC Diminished Nigeria – Peter Obi

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence anniversary, Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the party has reduced the nation’s progress. According to Obi, the promises made by APC to Nigerians have not translated into visible improvements, leaving the country worse than it was before.

He emphasized that at 65, Nigeria should be experiencing growth in areas such as economy, infrastructure, healthcare, and education, but instead, citizens are struggling with hardship, insecurity, and poor governance. Obi noted that the lack of visionary leadership has been a major setback to the country’s development and has continued to affect the lives of millions.

The former Anambra governor urged Nigerians to remain hopeful while calling for a united effort to rescue the nation from further decline. He stressed that the future of Nigeria depends on good governance, transparency, and accountability, insisting that leadership failure must no longer be tolerated.
