Atalanta’s CEO, Luca Percassi, has said the club is ready to take Ademola Lookman back, but only if he changes his approach.
This season, much of the attention around Atalanta has been on the transfer issues involving Lookman. The Nigerian international wanted a move to Inter Milan in the summer and even missed two weeks of training to push for the transfer.
The 27-year-old player has not fully rejoined the team yet, as reports say he hasn’t shown the right attitude during practice. Head coach Ivan Juric recently stated that he won’t try to convince Lookman to play for the club.
Percassi emphasized that Lookman must show dedication if he wants to be part of Atalanta again.
“You cannot change the past, so we are focusing on the present and future. We all know how talented Ademola is, but to play for Atalanta, you must be fully focused,” Percassi told Sky Sport Italia.
“When he is ready to give his best, we will welcome him back with open arms.”
