The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its air component of Operation HADIN KAI has killed dozens of terrorists and destroyed one of their major strongholds in Borno State.
In a statement released on Thursday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, explained that the operation was carried out on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Bula Madibale in the Gezuwa area of the state.
NAF said intelligence and surveillance had revealed unusual movements in the location, with about 45 terrorists spotted gathering at the site. Some were seen arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions, while two flags were hoisted, marking the area as a rallying point.
Acting on this intelligence, the Air Force launched precision strikes around 10:50 a.m., destroying the flagged structure and other insurgent assets. The strikes were described as devastating, eliminating several fighters on the ground.
According to NAF, the mission was part of ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of movement and prevent them from regrouping to launch attacks on local communities. The Force assured Nigerians that it remains committed to restoring peace and stability in the North East.
