UK Court Rejects Ozekhome’s Request To Transfer Gen Useni’s Property To Himself

A court in North London has rejected a request by Chief Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome to take ownership of a property linked to the late Nigerian General, Jeremiah Useni.

Ozekhome, a well-known Nigerian lawyer, had applied to register the transfer of the property to himself. However, his request was challenged by a woman identified as “Ms. Tali Shani,” who claimed she was the rightful owner of the house.

The case took a dramatic turn when it was revealed that Ms. Shani, who had supposedly died during the case, may have never actually existed. Both sides accused each other of fraud and identity theft, with the matter dragging on between Nigerian and UK courts.

The dispute has now ended with the UK court refusing Ozekhome’s application, leaving the ownership of the property unsettled and full of unanswered questions.

This strange case has drawn attention not only because of the high-profile figures involved—including a deceased Nigerian general and a respected lawyer—but also because of the shocking claim that one of the main parties in the case was possibly never real.
