Ebuka Songs Apologises Over Controversial Livestream With Peller

Nigerian gospel singer, Ebuka Hillary, popularly known as Ebuka Songs, has issued an apology to Christians after a controversial livestream.

The incident involved a viral livestream in July with TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller.

During the session, which was held at Ebuka’s home, there were worship sessions, prayers, and a moment where Peller was seen speaking in tongues.

This clip stirred criticism from some Christians in Nigeria, who felt the livestream was not handled properly and was inappropriate.

Responding to the backlash, Ebuka Songs shared a video on Instagram, apologising not only for the livestream itself but also for the way he initially reacted to the situation.

In his statement, he explained: “I want to take responsibility for the livestream with Peller that happened in my house. Some things that occurred were not well managed, and I apologise to anyone who was offended. I also apologise for my first reaction, which may not have reflected God’s nature.

It was never my intention to hurt anyone. We are all still growing in God’s knowledge, and I sincerely ask for forgiveness.”
