Nollywood star Lizzy Gold has opened up about why she fell out with fellow actress Destiny Etiko, revealing that it was all due to rumours spread within the industry.

Lizzy shared this while sending a warm birthday message to Destiny, showing that they have now made peace.

She explained that their disagreement dragged on for two years before they finally resolved it.

In her Instagram post, Lizzy praised Destiny’s social nature, saying she has always admired how easily she connects with people.

Speaking to those who spread gossip, Lizzy said she no longer pays attention to such talk. She added that they have both matured and no longer have time for negativity.

Lizzy’s birthday wishes for Destiny included kind words about her good heart, saying she is one of the few who truly understands her.

She also expressed her love for Destiny, flaws and all, praying for God’s blessings and protection over her life.

According to Lizzy, they drifted apart two years ago because of too many rumours in Nollywood. She admitted she felt lonely without Destiny, as she doesn’t easily make friends.

Lizzy said she poured her energy into acting but still missed her friend. She was glad Destiny eventually realised she had been misled and returned to her.

Now, they laugh off any attempts to bring gossip between them, choosing instead to focus on their friendship.

Lizzy ended her message by asking God to shower Destiny with blessings and protect their bond from any form of division.

She vowed to never allow gossip to come between them again, calling Destiny her friend, hardworking colleague, and “baby.”
