Bandits have carried out fresh attacks on Madattai and Gaba-Lafiya villages in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State. The assault left one person dead and saw livestock stolen from residents.

Security analyst Bakatsine shared details of the incident on X late Tuesday night, confirming that the attacks happened the previous Tuesday.

The violence took place despite a peace agreement signed in February between the bandits and Jibia LGA authorities. This deal was meant to stop such attacks.

Bakatsine explained that soldiers quickly chased after the criminals and were able to recover the stolen animals from them.

As of now, government authorities have not issued any official statement about the incident.
