The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has presented N50 million to Francisca Ordega, a winger for the Super Falcons, according to DAILY POST.
Along with the cash prize, Governor Alia also gave Ordega a fully furnished three-bedroom house located in Makurdi.
This generous gift was in recognition of Ordega’s role in helping the Super Falcons achieve success at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
The Super Falcons claimed their record-breaking 10th championship at the tournament.
Although Ordega only played once during the competition due to an injury, her presence in the team was valuable.
At 31 years old, Ordega has won the WAFCON trophy five times while representing the Super Falcons.
In her career with the national team, she has made 26 appearances and scored seven goals.
