Relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, has spoken out about the arrest of her fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly called IVD. She expressed her frustration and pain over what she described as unfair treatment toward him.
IVD, who is a popular auto dealer, was arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command at the airport while he was preparing to travel to Qatar. His arrest is said to be connected to an old domestic violence case from 2022 involving the death of his wife, Bimbo.
Blessing CEO took to Instagram to defend IVD, saying he is innocent and doesn’t deserve the way he’s being handled. She said people are going too far in trying to punish him even when there’s no strong evidence against him.
She made it clear that she’s tired of staying silent while the man she loves is being mistreated. According to her, IVD is being bullied and used, and she won’t stand for it anymore. She warned that if things continue this way, she will speak out fully and fight back.
In another post, she questioned the reasons behind IVD’s arrest, saying there’s no case file or formal charges. She explained that IVD had only just renewed his passport after it had been missing for two years, and there was no court order stopping him from travelling.
She also said the police plan to keep him in custody until Monday, even though no official statement has been made against him. She believes this is a clear case of power being abused and emotions being played with.
Blessing CEO added that IVD has faced nonstop threats and pressure since the case started three years ago, and she’s no longer willing to keep quiet while he suffers.
