Troops from Operation FANSAN YANMA, working together with officers from the C-Watch security unit, have arrested a woman in Malumfashi, Katsina State. She was found with suspicious items, including military equipment and loaded ammunition hidden in her bag.
The woman was stopped around 1 a.m. on Monday, August 4, at a routine security checkpoint. She was reportedly trying to leave the town when officers noticed suspicious behavior.
After carefully searching her belongings, security personnel discovered a full military uniform, trousers, a tactical jacket, communication devices (such as phones), and other security tools. These findings raised fears that she might be involved in supplying materials for terrorist activities.
A source revealed that the woman is now being held in custody and is currently being questioned by authorities. Investigations are ongoing to find out more about her connections and what she was planning.
Although officials haven’t released her name or confirmed any group ties, sources close to the operation believe she could be part of a larger group that provides weapons and gear to terrorist groups operating in the region.
