Former Manchester United player, Demetri Mitchell, has predicted that Rasmus Hojlund will score more goals next season than Viktor Gyökeres, who recently joined Arsenal.
Mitchell believes Hojlund will perform better overall, especially after Gyökeres chose to sign with Arsenal instead of Manchester United, despite United’s interest in him.
Gyökeres made his debut in a preseason match between Arsenal and Tottenham in Hong Kong. Arsenal lost the match, and the new striker came on in the second half, replacing Kai Havertz.
However, Gyökeres didn’t impress many fans, especially those who had hoped he would move to Manchester United.
After the game, Mitchell shared his opinion on social media. He said he believes Hojlund will have a stronger season than Gyökeres.
He added that Gyökeres needs to start scoring early. According to him, if the Swedish striker doesn’t find the net in the first few matches, it could affect his confidence and performance for the rest of the season.
