Armed bandits have launched deadly attacks on two villages in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing three people and kidnapping several others.
A security expert who goes by the name Bakatsine shared the news on social media platform X on Saturday, explaining that the attacks took place on Friday.
The first attack happened in Karfi village shortly after the Friday prayers. In that incident, the gunmen killed one person and kidnapped two others.
Later that same day, the bandits moved to another village called Layin Minister. They killed two people, injured many others, and kidnapped several residents.
According to Bakatsine, “Bandits attacked Karfi after Juma’at, killing one and abducting two. Hours later, they hit Layin Minister, killed two, several injured and many abducted. All the communities are situated in Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State.”
So far, the government and security agencies have not made any official comments about the attack.
