Former Big Brother Naija housemates from different seasons have shared how the reality show greatly changed their lives and helped them succeed in their careers.
The ex-housemates spoke during a chat at Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s birthday party in Lagos, where they gave credit to BBNaija for opening doors for them.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who now hosts the show, said BBNaija helped him discover he had a talent for TV presenting.
“I never thought I’d be on TV. I was a lawyer, but going into the Big Brother house made me realise I was good at speaking. Without the show, I wouldn’t be in this career today,” he said.
Bisola Aiyeola, now an actress, said she always knew she would succeed, but BBNaija made it happen much faster.
“The show didn’t create my success, but it made it happen way faster,” she explained.
Elozonam, who is also an actor and filmmaker, said the show gave his name and brand a big lift.
“BBNaija helped me become more known and boosted my brand,” he said.
Mercy Eke, who once won the show, said the experience changed her life completely.
“It changed me, my brand, and everything about me,” she stated proudly.
Gideon Okeke, an actor, shared that the show helped him escape a rough background.
“Without BBNaija, I’d still be in the ghetto. Now people know who I am,” he said.
KimOprah, a TV presenter, praised the show as a great platform for anyone who wants to grow.
“It gives you global exposure. From there, the only direction is up,” she said.
Adekunle, a podcaster, said the show helped millions of people know who he is.
“Big Brother gave me the platform I needed to be seen,” he added.
Laycon, a past winner and music star, said BBNaija pushed his music career to a new level.
“It took everything I was doing to the top,” he remarked.
