APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has strongly criticized Nigerian DJ and activist, DJ Switch, for her reaction following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
DJ Switch, whose real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh, shared her thoughts on social media shortly after news broke of Buhari’s passing. Her comments quickly stirred attention online.
she wrote via her IG page;
‘’Wow! The sweet reality of inevitability. RIP MF. One down.”
In her message, DJ Switch expressed no sorrow over the former leader’s death. Instead, she accused Buhari of failing Nigeria during his time in power. She boldly claimed that he “achieved nothing” throughout his presidency.
To back up her statement, DJ Switch released a video where she repeated her opinion. She stated clearly that Buhari’s administration brought no real progress and did not help the country improve.
Joe Igbokwe didn’t take these comments lightly. He openly condemned DJ Switch for speaking ill of the former president so soon after his death. According to Igbokwe, her words were disrespectful and unfair.
This clash between a political figure and a celebrity has sparked fresh debate online, with Nigerians taking sides over both Buhari’s legacy and the freedom to speak out after a leader’s death.
