US President Trump set to attend Club World Cup final

US President Donald Trump is planning to attend the final match of the FIFA Club World Cup this Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The tournament, which has lasted for a month, will end with Premier League team Chelsea facing either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid, depending on the outcome of their semi-final clash on Wednesday.

When reporters asked Trump if he would be going to the match, he said yes. The final is scheduled to take place in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Earlier this week, DAZN presenter Emily Austin hinted at Trump’s appearance during a live broadcast, raising excitement among football fans.

Just a day before this news, FIFA announced that it would open an office inside Trump Tower in New York. The Club World Cup trophy will also be displayed there ahead of Sunday’s big match.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the organization has received strong support from the US government and Trump himself. He mentioned that the White House Task Force has helped both with the Club World Cup and the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Infantino repeated his appreciation for Trump’s support in another statement on Tuesday, showing how much FIFA values the partnership with the current US administration.

Trump has been attending many major sports events since returning to office. He even made history by becoming the first sitting president to go to a Super Bowl, where he watched the Eagles beat the Chiefs in New Orleans.

He also played a role in helping the NFL announce that the 2007 draft would take place in Washington, D.C.
