Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has said he would be very disappointed if Napoli striker Victor Osimhen moves to Galatasaray instead of joining Manchester United this summer.
Ferdinand shared his thoughts during a chat with tennis star Nick Kyrgios on talkSPORT, where they discussed potential transfer moves.
He said Manchester United should try to sign Osimhen, especially since they missed the chance to get Viktor Gyokeres, who is now close to joining Arsenal.
Ferdinand praised Osimhen, saying the Nigerian striker has shown he can score goals at the highest level.
He also commented on the reported £50 million offer from Galatasaray, saying that kind of money is too small in today’s football market for a player like Osimhen.
According to him, it would be a huge letdown if Manchester United misses out on Osimhen, especially when the club is clearly in need of a strong striker.
However, Ferdinand added that if Manchester United ends up signing Osimhen, it would be a great move and fans wouldn’t need to worry about missing out on other targets.
