Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has left his family and close friends worried because of some of the things he has said and done recently.
He had earlier caused a stir by saying that men are not naturally built to stay faithful to just one woman. Many people online reacted to the statement, with some criticizing him and others defending him.
He said, “Men are not built to be with one woman sexually. A man can love one woman and still desire others.”
After the backlash, he released an emotional video apologising to his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, his kids and fans.
He said, “I messed up. I know I’m going to pay a heavy price. I disappointed a lot of people, my fans, my family, especially my wife, Natasha.”
2Baba further described his words as a “poor attempt to explain male psychology,” but acknowledged the harm done, saying, “There’s no excuse. I take full responsibility.”
Following this, his family and friends have tried many times to reach him, but they say all their efforts have failed. This is making them more worried about his condition.
According to some of his siblings and close associates who spoke to Punch, the apology he gave afterward made them feel that something might be wrong with him. They believe he may not be mentally okay.
They also raised concerns that his phone may have been hacked. They claimed that messages and other important details are being deleted before he even sees them, which is very suspicious.
Someone close to the Idibia family added that his siblings are really disturbed by how he has been acting lately. They fear that he may be going through something serious and are hoping he gets help soon.
