Just a few days before his sad passing, Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, his wife, and their children were seen happily celebrating their wedding.

On June 22, 2025, Jota married his longtime partner, Rute Cardoso. The special occasion came shortly before the heartbreaking news of his death.

The couple are parents to three children, and all of them took part in the wedding ceremony, making it a memorable family event.

Rute shared a sweet message just three days ago, saying, “My dream came true,” as she celebrated becoming Jota’s wife.

Sadly, the joy did not last long. Jota, who was 28 and from Portugal, was reportedly travelling with his brother, Andre, when their car veered off the road and caught fire. Both brothers sadly died in the accident.
