Juventus in race to sign Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi

Italian football club Juventus has joined the list of top European teams interested in Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, following Leicester City’s drop to the Championship.

Ndidi’s contract reportedly includes a clause that allows him to leave the club for as little as €10.5 million due to Leicester’s relegation. This has attracted the attention of several teams looking to strengthen their midfield.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs revealed that Juventus, who have won the Serie A title 36 times, is now competing with clubs like Manchester United, Real Betis, and Everton for Ndidi’s signature.

Reports say Manchester United is considering Ndidi as a possible replacement for their Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro. The Nigerian player, now 28 years old, has gathered plenty of experience in the English league and could be a good fit for the Red Devils.

Ndidi is also said to be open to a move to the Saudi Pro League. With interest coming from both Europe and the Middle East, he has several options for the next step in his career.

Because of Leicester’s relegation, Ndidi is now available for a lower fee of just under €10.5 million (about £8 million). This makes him an attractive choice for clubs looking for a reliable and affordable midfielder.

Since joining Leicester City, Ndidi has made 303 appearances for the club. Out of those, 220 were in the English Premier League. He played a key role in Leicester’s historic FA Cup win in the 2020/21 season and also helped the team lift the Community Shield later that same year.

As the summer transfer window heats up, fans will be watching closely to see where the Super Eagles star will go next. Whether it’s Juventus, Manchester United, or another club, Ndidi’s next move will be one to follow.
