Liverpool Football Club is reportedly interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, and they might offer Darwin Núñez in a swap deal to make it happen.
Núñez joined the Reds in 2022 from Portuguese side Benfica in a big-money move worth €85 million. But since arriving at Anfield, the Uruguayan forward has struggled to deliver consistent performances.
Over the course of 95 league matches, Núñez has scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists. While those are decent numbers, they haven’t lived up to the high expectations the club had for him when he was signed.
After winning the Premier League title, Liverpool are planning to bring in a new striker. However, the club may only make that move if Núñez is sold or included in a trade.
Football agent Bruno Satin, who works with B&S Partners, has now confirmed that Liverpool has a genuine interest in Victor Osimhen. He shared this information during an interview with Italian radio station Kiss Kiss Napoli.
Satin described Osimhen as a player who is hard to predict and said no one knows for sure where he might go next. He also spoke highly of Núñez, calling him physically powerful, fast, and capable of making a big impact in the Italian Serie A.
According to the agent, Núñez is not fully happy at Liverpool anymore—and his wife is reportedly pushing for a move as well.
If the swap deal goes through, Osimhen could bring fresh energy to Liverpool’s attack, while Núñez may find a better fit in Italy with Napoli.
