KRC Genk’s sporting director, Dimitri De Conde, has revealed that Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare will almost certainly leave the club during this summer transfer window. He said there’s a 99% chance that the forward will make a move.
The 24-year-old has become a hot target for many clubs after an outstanding season. He was Genk’s top performer and also the highest goal scorer in the Belgian Pro League.
Arokodare found the net 21 times and added 5 assists in 40 league games last season. His consistent form helped put him in the spotlight, and now several big teams are watching him closely.
Genk is ready to sell the talented striker, but only if the right offer comes in. Reports say the Belgian side is demanding around €20 million for him.
De Conde made it clear, saying, “I estimate the chance of a possible departure of our top scorer at 99 percent.”
Premier League club Fulham is the most recent team linked with Arokodare. There are also reports that Manchester United is keeping tabs on the Nigerian forward as a possible signing.
It looks like Arokodare could be making a big step up in his career soon.
