Human trafficking: Libyan army arrests wanted Ghanaian crime kingpin who allegedly kidnaps Nigerian girls and forces them into prostitution

A well-known Ghanaian man involved in serious crimes, who goes by the name Saaed or Biggie, has been caught by the Libyan Army’s 444 Brigade. He was arrested for trafficking people and using girls for sex work against their will.

The Libyan soldiers planned carefully and surprised him in his hideout. He was arrested at the spot.

During the operation, the army was also able to rescue eleven women who were being held captive.

Biggie is believed to have been kidnapping girls and women from many African countries, including Nigeria. He would then force them into prostitution and make money from their pain.

A woman who survived human trafficking, Hope Oyiza Yakubu, shared her joy about Biggie’s arrest. She called it a big step forward for people fighting against human trafficking.

She wrote, “The Libyan Army has arrested a dangerous Ghanaian trafficker named Biggie who sells Nigerian girls in Libya. This is a major victory for those of us fighting this evil. The next person we are waiting to see fall is Lion. God will bring him down too. Congrats to the girls who are now free. May many more find the same light.”
