Goodbye – Lautaro Martínez blows hot, tells Inter Milan stars to leave club

Inter Milan’s captain, Lautaro Martinez, is not holding back. After a disappointing loss, he made it clear that any teammate who isn’t fully committed to the club should leave.

The comment came after Inter Milan suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brazilian side Fluminense in the Club World Cup’s Round of 16. The loss shocked many fans and saw the Italian club exit the tournament early.

Fluminense scored just three minutes into the match when German Cano headed in a deflected cross. Later in the game, substitute Hercules added another goal, securing a famous win for the Brazilian team.

With the defeat, Inter Milan is out of the Club World Cup, while Fluminense moves on to the quarterfinals. It was a disappointing night for the Italian champions.

Speaking after the match, Martinez sent a strong message to his teammates. He made it clear that only players who are ready to give their all should stay at the club.

The Argentine forward said he wants to keep fighting for big trophies. He stated that players who truly want to stay at Inter are welcome to continue, but anyone who doesn’t should pack up and go.

According to Martinez, wearing the Inter Milan shirt is a big responsibility. The team needs players with a strong mindset and fighting spirit. If someone doesn’t have that, it’s better they leave.

As the captain, Martinez made it known that he is serious. His words were direct: “If you don’t want to stay, goodbye.”
