Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Anita and Topher, have responded to online criticism from fans who gave them couple gifts during their time together. Some fans were upset after learning that their relationship didn’t last.

Anita addressed the issue through Snapchat. She explained that their relationship was real at the time, but it has now ended. She shared that although they tried to continue the relationship after the show, things simply didn’t work out.

She also said she never planned to gain anything from the relationship. Anita made it clear that she values honesty and has always been genuine in her actions.

Anita said, “I’ve seen the things people are saying online, and I want to speak directly to those who supported me with good intentions. When I left the Big Brother house, many people were curious about our relationship, and I understand that. We did try to make it work, but just like in real life, not everything goes as planned. If people had seen everything, they might understand better.”

She went on to say that there was no trick involved and that she never faked the relationship for gifts or attention. Anita stressed that people who truly know her understand that she lives with honesty and purpose.

She added, “The idea that I faked a relationship to get gifts is wrong and painful. I have never asked for support by lying. I truly appreciate the trust of my fans and everyone who has stood by me. My name and values are very important to me, and I will always protect them.”

Anita also thanked those who reached out with kind words. To fans who felt let down, she said their feelings are valid, but she will always choose to be honest rather than pretend. She promised never to take the love and support of her followers for granted.
