Real Madrid’s coach, Xabi Alonso, has praised Arda Güler and Fede Valverde after their match against RB Salzburg in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage. The game took place early Friday morning.
Alonso said both players helped the team stay in control during the first half of the match against the Austrian side.
Madrid won the game 3-0, thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior, Valverde, and Gonzalo Garcia.
In his post-match interview shared by Madrid Zone, Alonso said: “Arda Güler and Fede gave us good control in the first half. These different styles bring collective quality to the team. When that quality grows, all players benefit.”
This win puts Real Madrid at the top of Group H, with seven points from three matches.
Up next, Real Madrid will face Juventus in the Round of 16 on Tuesday.
