Fabio Capello, the former Italian football manager, has told Inter Milan to try and sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United this summer. Capello believes the Danish striker could be a great addition for the Serie A club.
There are talks that Hojlund might leave Manchester United after a difficult season. He has not been able to perform well since joining the team.
Hojlund moved to Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023. However, he has struggled to settle in and find his best form at Old Trafford.
Last season, the striker scored 10 goals and made four assists in 52 games for Manchester United across all competitions. These numbers were not what many expected from him.
Hojlund has been linked with a transfer to Inter Milan, and Capello thinks Inter should focus on signing him. The former manager is a fan of the young Danish forward.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Capello said he likes Hojlund because he is a very dynamic striker who knows how to use space well on the field. Capello was impressed by him even when Hojlund was playing for Atalanta.
Capello also said that Hojlund is different from some other strikers who join the build-up play a lot. He feels Hojlund was not ready for the bigger challenge at Manchester United yet.
Currently, Hojlund has a contract with Manchester United until 2028. Transfermarkt values him at about €35 million.
If Inter Milan signs Hojlund, he could get a fresh start and show his true potential in the Serie A and Champions League.
