Kizz Daniel, a popular Afrobeat singer whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, recently shared a very personal story about his late father.

In a podcast interview, he said that losing his dad inspired him to write a new song called ‘Al-Jannah’.

Kizz Daniel said, “When my dad was alive, he was my best friend.”

The song title, ‘Al-Jannah’, means “paradise.” He wanted to create a special tribute song. Kizz Daniel and his family have faced many losses. They lost their son in 2021.

He lost his father in 2015, his wife lost her mother in 2024, and he also lost his stepmother. Many people they loved have passed away.

The song is made for everyone who has lost someone special, not just one person.

Kizz Daniel explained, “I was able to show this by using the word ‘friend’ in the song.”

His father died on May 9, 2015, just a few days after Kizz Daniel turned 21 years old.
