Club World Cup: Supercomputer predicts winner, Chelsea, Man City downfall

A powerful computer model has made predictions for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which is set to begin next weekend.

According to the forecast, Chelsea won’t go far in the competition, and Manchester City might reach the final, but they won’t win the title.

This year’s tournament is being held in the USA and features an expanded format. Chelsea and Manchester City are representing the Premier League because they won the Champions League in 2021 and 2023.

Both teams have won the Club World Cup before under the older format. But things may not go as planned this time.

The supercomputer simulation from BoyleSports suggests that neither Chelsea nor Manchester City will be champions. Instead, Benfica is expected to lift the trophy.

Manchester City is predicted to defeat strong teams like Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Juventus to reach the final.

However, in the final game, Pep Guardiola’s side is expected to lose 2-1 to Benfica, handing the Portuguese club a historic victory.
