UEFA Nations League: Ronaldo gives only condition for his retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo recently said that he will only retire from football if he suffers a serious injury. He made this clear after playing in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain. Even though he was already dealing with an injury before the game, he chose to play because the pain wasn’t too bad, and he wanted to help his team.

During the final match, Ronaldo played a big role by scoring an important goal that brought Portugal level. This goal gave his team the chance to take the game into extra time. After a tough 120 minutes of play, the match went to penalties. Portugal won the shootout 5-4 and lifted the Nations League trophy in Germany.

After the game, the 40-year-old Al Nassr striker said he had felt the injury since the warm-up. Despite that, he gave everything on the field. He said that if he had to break his leg for Portugal, he would, just to win a title for his country. His passion and commitment were clear as he pushed through the pain.

Ronaldo also spoke about the end of his career. He admitted that he is now closer to retirement than when he first started playing, but he has no plans to stop yet. He said he wants to enjoy every moment he still has in the game. As long as he doesn’t suffer a serious injury, he plans to keep going and give his all on the pitch.
