Tinubu has reversed years of infrastructural neglect in southeast – Umahi

Minister of Works, David Umahi, has praised President Bola Tinubu for making important changes in the Southeast region and across Nigeria. He says Tinubu’s work is helping the country grow and come together.

At the 2025 Sallah celebration with the Muslim community in Ebonyi State, Umahi spoke about how the Southeast was ignored by the federal government for many years. He said this is now changing because of the President’s efforts to bring more projects and attention to the region.

Before now, many Southeast states had very few federal projects. But today, you can see government work and improvements all over the region. Umahi said this shows real unity in Nigeria because the government is now working for all parts of the country.

Umahi also spoke about how Tinubu’s government has helped bring peace between different religions. He mentioned the President’s visit to the Pope’s inauguration as a strong sign of respect for people of all faiths. This gesture showed that Tinubu cares about everyone, no matter their religion.

He said the relationship between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria is better now. Many Christians were surprised when the President led a Nigerian team to the Pope’s event. Umahi reminded everyone that both Muslims and Christians believe in one God, even if they worship in different ways. Both faiths teach love and respect.

Thanks to Tinubu’s leadership, the Southeast is seeing new development, and Nigeria is becoming more united and peaceful.
