Club World Cup: Ronaldo reveals final decision on joining new club to play at tournament

Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he won’t take part in the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States. Even though several clubs showed interest in signing him for the tournament, he has chosen not to make the move.

Talks about Ronaldo’s possible involvement in the tournament began after FIFA President Gianni Infantino said there had been discussions about the 40-year-old joining the event. Since his club Al Nassr didn’t qualify and his contract ends this month, many thought he might switch teams temporarily.

When reporters asked him about joining a new club just to take part in the tournament, Ronaldo said now is not the time to discuss such things. He explained that his focus is on his national team and that not every offer he gets makes sense.

Ronaldo also said he’s received many invitations from clubs, but he’s already made his decision. He won’t play in the Club World Cup. According to him, moving clubs isn’t something to take lightly—you need to consider what’s best in the short term and the long run.
