Peter Okoye, one of the twin brothers from the famous music group P-Square, has decided to openly speak about the legal case he’s currently facing. The issue involves a serious money-related accusation, and Peter is no longer keeping quiet about it.
Shortly after attending a court hearing, Peter shared a strong message through his Instagram Story. The case is about a reported N1.38 billion fraud and involves his older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye. In his post, Peter made it clear that he’s done staying silent and pretending to be calm. He wants the truth to be known.
Earlier this week, during the court session at the Federal High Court in Lagos, the lawyer representing Jude Okoye made some strong accusations. The lawyer said that Peter lied in the statement he gave to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
But Peter isn’t taking the heat lying down.
“Exactly what I was talking about: their publicist doing everything for me to look like a liar. I am not MayD or Cynthia Morgan; I am PETER OKOYE, the one and only THE ROCK/OKWUTE of the Okoyes. The truth shall surely prevail.”
According to him, Peter was not truthful about whether he had access to Northside Music Ltd’s bank accounts. The lawyer also questioned Peter’s claims about his academic background. In addition, the lawyer disagreed with Peter’s statement that he didn’t receive royalty payments and was left out of important decisions in the company.
“After watching everything about Mohbad’s death and how the whole thing played out to date, I decided to myself that I would never play the bigger person nor act as the mature one… Never again. So love me or hate me, I will continue speaking my truth!”
