Former Minister Mohammed Abdullahi resigns from APC

Mohammed Abdullahi, who once worked as Nigeria’s environment minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari, has decided to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.

He sent a formal letter on June 1 to the APC chairman of his local ward in Karu, Nasarawa State, to tell them about his resignation. The letter was also shared with other leaders in the party.

Abdullahi said he is quitting the party because of personal reasons. He also showed thanks for all the support he received while he was part of the APC.

In his resignation letter, he said, “I am leaving APC for personal reasons. I am grateful for the help and cooperation during my time in the party. We worked together to make the party stronger in the state. I wish the party and everyone good luck.”

Before his role in the environment ministry, Abdullahi served as the minister of state for science and technology during Buhari’s government. He also held several important jobs in Nasarawa State, such as attorney-general and commissioner for justice when Abdullahi Adamu was governor. Later, he worked as the secretary to the state government when Governor Umar Tanko Al-Makura was in charge.
