The Nigerian Army has announced that its soldiers have killed more than 60 terrorists in a recent operation in northern Nigeria. The operation was carried out under the military’s Operation Hadin Kai.
This news was shared through a short message posted on the official Facebook page of the Army Headquarters on Friday, May 30.
According to the post, the military carried out a joint attack involving both ground troops and air support. The mission took place early Friday morning in Bita, a town located in Borno State.
The Army described the attack as a well-coordinated and powerful assault. Brave soldiers stormed the terrorists’ camps from both the air and the ground at the same time.
The fierce fighting ended with at least 60 terrorists being killed during the battle.
Just earlier this week, Nigerian troops also launched another attack in New Marte, which is in the Marte Local Government Area of Borno State. That operation also led to the deaths of several Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters.
Sadly, two soldiers lost their lives during that earlier encounter. The Army honored them for their bravery and sacrifice.
