I’ve no idea when Tinubu policies will start yielding results – APC spokesman, Morka

Felix Morka, who is the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said he is not sure when Nigerians will begin to see the benefits of President Bola Tinubu’s policies.

He made this statement while speaking to journalists at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.

Right now, many Nigerians are struggling with serious problems like unemployment, hunger, poverty, high prices of goods, and insecurity across the country.

Interestingly, just last week, several top APC leaders, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, APC Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, said that Tinubu’s plans are already working and bringing results.

However, Morka used an example of a crawling baby to explain the situation. He said that policies are like children—some take longer than others to show results. He mentioned that crawling is a normal stage before walking, and the same goes for government efforts. People should be patient and allow the policies to take shape.

When asked about the removal of the fuel subsidy, Morka explained that past leaders avoided the tough decision. But Tinubu removed the subsidy because he believed it was the best thing to do for Nigeria’s future.

Morka also denied reports that APC has started campaigning for Tinubu’s re-election. He said that supporting the president doesn’t mean they are running a campaign.

On insecurity, Morka said the problem is not just in Nigeria—it’s a global issue. He noted that Nigeria has been dealing with insecurity for about 20 years.
