Akwa Ibom Police deny arrest of social media influencer, Blossom Williams

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has denied reports that they arrested or detained social media influencer and mother of three, Blossom Williams.

This came after news spread that she was taken by police on the orders of Daniel Eyakenyi, the son of the state’s Deputy Governor.

According to the reports, Blossom, who is currently pregnant, was allegedly followed and picked up by security agents while she was heading to a medical appointment in Uyo.

Her family believes her arrest was not just a mistake but was politically motivated. They say Blossom has been a strong voice for good leadership and has spoken out about the rights of people in the Oro Nation.

The incident has caused public outcry both in Akwa Ibom and beyond. Many people are asking for her immediate release and want the government to investigate those who may have planned her arrest.

When asked about the situation, Police spokesperson Timfon John told the News Agency of Nigeria that the police were not aware of any such arrest or detention.

Meanwhile, a source close to her family told news reporters that Blossom was forcefully taken while she was on her way to the hospital.
