Timothy Sherman Adamu, who ran for governor in Kaduna State under the Action Alliance party in 2023, has now joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). On May 6, 2025, he officially resigned from Action Alliance and declared his decision to move to APC, calling it a party focused on progress.
Adamu explained that his decision was influenced by the good work done by APC leaders like President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. He pointed out the improvements seen in roads, security, and development of people in Kaduna and the wider region.
He also noted that Governor Uba Sani has kept the promises he made after winning the 2023 elections. Since Uba Sani invited other candidates to congratulate him, Adamu felt it was time to stop waiting and join APC to help build a stronger and more successful Kaduna State and Nigeria.
Finally, Adamu thanked the Action Alliance party for their support and prayers during his journey, especially for the chance to be their governorship candidate in 2023.
